  • I put my issues on the left and right side of my glogster.
  • On the left side its dealling with the issue of lust.
  • On the right side its dealing with the issue of love.
  • The big heart in the middle is because its talking about both issues lust and love.
  • The two texts at the bottom talks about the issues.
  • The arrows are pointing to the links i made.
  • Why i put the birds, prushes, and clouds is because it kinda deals with the backgroud.

Assignment #9

Choice: #3

Thesis statement: Theres a difference between lust and love in the book.

To get: I need to get everything, the only thing i got was one picture.

To do: I have yet to start the actual website so that would be the only thing on my to do list.

Assignment #8

Q: What do you think Shakespeare is saying about love and infatuation?

What i think he's trying to say about love is that you feel love for someone you really care about and have feelings for.

One example in the book would be the whole relationship thing between Demetrius, Lysander,Hermia, and Helana got messed with by Puck. Puck had to put a magic eye drop in Demetrius's eye so he could fall in love with Helana. Well he falls in love with Helana and then he puts one in Lysanders eye, then he fell in love with Helana too. Now we have two guys liking the same girl but there both not true love the only true love in that relationship, is Helana liking Demetrius. The two guys got a spell put on them to fall in love with other people.

A second example would be the love between Titania and Bottom. The love between them is true and they care for one another like on BOTTOM- "I'd rather have a handful or two of dried peas. But please don't let any of your people wake me up. I really want to sleep now." TITANIA- "Go to sleep, and I will wrap my arms around you. Fairies, go away. Run off in all directions."  so this shows how much they care for one another by letting him sleep and not letting anyone of her fairies wake him. Also by her taking care of him by seeing if he wants something to eat like grass and dry grass and if he wants to listen to music or anything.

The third example is that after they wake up from the sleep they realized something know that there not seeing. Like when Demetrius says what he thinks about Helana  Demetrius- "my love to Hermia, Melted as the snow, seems to me now As the remembrance of an idle gaud Which in my childhood I did dote upon. And all the faith, the virtue of my heart, The object and the pleasure of mine eye, Is only Helena." this shows that Demetrius is now knowing who he truely cares about and who he wants to marrie. Also Lysander and Hermia are still truely in love like they were, but they couldnt get married, so they were going to run from Athens so they could get married. Now i think that really shows true love.

All in all in the book A Midsummer Night’s Dream, William Shakespeare was trying to show that love is out there for everyone, even though its confusing, when you find true love it always works out.

 Assignment #7

Assignment #6

I think the actions between Demetrius and Lysander is that there both sneaky with there relationships and feelings. Like Demetrius sneaks his feelings for Helana and does things with her then he'll go and act like he wants to marry Hermia, but I think he really doesnt want to marry her, I think he's doin it because of her dad and the roialty. Then Lysander just likes Hermia, but after that love spell he starded liking Helana just because of that love spell. But his love for Hermia is true he doesnt sneak around with other women. The way there acting foolish is because there fighting over one girl but the only reason there acting that way is because of that love spell they got put throw by puck.

Assignment #5

DEAR ABBY:My name is Hermia. My dad is not being coropetive with who I want to marry. He want me to marry Demetrius but I really like Lysander. But if I choose not to marry Demetrius the I could be sentenced to death. I dont know what I should do. BROKEN IN TWO

DEAR BROKEN:Well there isn't much to do in that situation except either go ahead and do what your father wants you to do and marry demetrius and live the rest of your life miserabal or you could not listen to your father and run away with Lysander and then u wouldnt have to die.

Assignment #4

The costumes and the set design look like its from a evry long time ago. there was a some people in the book that i thought seemed to be simular in the book and movie but one guy didn't match the movie and that was bottom because in the movie hes a jurce to the other people in the play. i think the movie did help me understand it more because it gave me the visual so i could understand like what was going on.

Assignment #3

Wordle: lysander

Assignment #2

I don't know aboout the humor in this book but people think different things are humorus. Like theres some people that think this book is pretty humorus. But i dont know I didn't find anything humorus in this book, well at least not right now.

Assignment #1

Egeus and Hermia had a fight about who Hermia should marry. Her father Egeus wanted Hermia to marry Demetrius but she didn't have the same feeling her father had. The guy that she wanted to marry Lysander but her dad didn't like that idea. If Hermia doesn't marry Demetrius then she could be killed for not fallowing the plans of her fathers.

I think ive changed from this book in many different ways like out look on things in my life. Also my out look on football and sports, how i should do things in football and things and quotes that are a really good for football and also life to because football is similar to your life and what you do in your life.

Independent reading #32 winners mannual pg.# 245-259 4-3-09 Saturday

I think i would like to read more books by Jim Tressel. The reason why i would like to read more books by him just soo i could see what he has to say like about life and sports. Because i think he has more to say than he did in just in this book. I think he has some great things to say about everything in sports and life.

Independent reading #31 winners mannual pg.# 227-245 4-26-09 Sunday

This book is nothing like anyother book i have ever read before because this just talks about things in life and in football. This book has no story behind it, no other people but Jim Tressel. It gives you advise with your life in football or sports and also in life.

Independent reading #30 winners mannual pg.# 220-226 4-25-09 Saturday

I think the character i would most like to be is either Jim Tressel or one of his players. Because if i was Jim Tressel i would have one of the best NCAA football teams and i would be one of the richest to. If i was one of his players i would be fifilling one of my goals and also if im good, i might be good enough to play in the NFL and get to play for a good team. But thoughs are the characters that i would want to bein the book.

Independent reading #29 winners mannual pg.# 205-220 4-19-09 Sunday

This section talks about great teams are unselfish which is something really good to talk about. I think what that means is that a team that is really good is a team that can work together and do whatever they can do for the team like someone will play anywhere or let someone else play that spot for the sake of the team and what will make the team better.

Independent reading #28 winners mannual pg.# 185-205 4-18-09 Saturday

The topic of the section i read was mostly about tradition and responsibility. Tradition is a good thing for sports and life because having a tradition with your familyis a great thing to have because i think it would bring your family closer together and for sport it's a good thing to, like football has alot of tradition that brings the team closer like a family because thats what you need to be on a football team.

Independent reading #27 winners mannual pg.# 161-185 4-12-09 Sunday

The section i read talked alot about love and commitment. i think this is a good subject to talk about because love is a very good thing about life because you need to love something or someone in life. Then commitment is the most inportant thing in a relationship and in something you love like a sport.

Independent reading #26 winners mannual pg.# 140-161 4-11-09 Saturday

What i think about the section i read was talking about that you need to dream big. I think dreaming big is a really good thing to do because if you want to get somewhere big you need to think big. But if you dont dream big i dont think youll make it, i dont think youll reach your true potential in life. Another thing i like is that it said to learn form adversity i think thats good to because if you dont learn from the first bad think that happens then you wont be ready for the next.

Independent reading #25 winners mannual pg.# 129-140 4-05-09 Sunday

Theres one thing in this part that i read that i liked and it was learn from failure. I like that saying because its true you learn everyday by your mustakes, i cant tell you howmanty times ive learned by my mistakes. I think it makes you a better person by learn by your mistakes or even someone elses mistakes.

Independent reading #24 winners mannual pg.# 117-129 4-04-09 Saturday

I think if you want to get a book to give you tips about life or help with your life then this is the book to get because it talks about how work and things are apart of are lives. Because to live in this economie today, you need to work all the time and keep that job and hope that job doesnt go under. In this world this world today you need a job to live because if you dont your S.O.L. But i think thats kinda what this book shows you.

Independent reading #23 winners mannual pg.# 107-117 3-29-09 Sunday

I think this section is good for people because it talks about faith and the foundation of faith. But its good for people to have faith in life and in sports because having faith sets you free gives you hope for your life. I think everyone should have faith in life.

Independent reading #22 winners mannual pg.# 100-107 3-28-09 Saturday

The topic in this part that i read was about the main event. The main event is the big games, the games that you have chills for. Those games are the best to play in, that one big game that people from other schools come to to watch. Just seeing all those people when you go out on the field makes you feel great.

Independent reading #21 winners mannual pg.# 95-100 3-22-09 Sunday

The section i read in the book talked about excillence once again but this time it asked "what the definition of excillence" is. I think the definition of excillence is something that you do that you dont mess up on, something you can do in your sleep. But if I could, I would ask Jim Trussel what he defined excillence as, how he thought of it. Then it talks about the cost of excillence and stuff like that.

Independent reading #20 winners mannual pg.# 89-95 3-21-09 Saturday

The topic that the author gave this chapter, is a really good topic for football and life. The chapter talks about execellence in personal and family life, in spiritual and moral life, in caring and giving, in academics, and also how to increase your excellence. Also it talks about setting goals for strength and fitness. I think the excellence part is a great part for someones life because its good to do good deeds in your life for other people also its good to go to church it really gets you conected to god. Same thing goes with the strength and fitness thing because its good to stay fit and to get strong because it keeps you young and you are able to do more things.

So far this book is making me wander how he thinks of his game plans and how he comes up with some of the things he talks about like discipline is a daily decision and about focusing on the moment  and hanging on to the ball. I think what that means is that if you drop the ball that something bad happend but hanging on to the ball is that your life will be goin good.

Independent reading #18 winners mannual pg.# 73-80 3-14-09 Saturday

The reading of the winners mannual reminds me alot about some of the players and some of the people in the weightroom about what they say about discipline is a daily decision. Why i say that is because some of the players on the football team and that lift in the weightroom have there days that there disciplined and some days that there not. Are coach always says on Fridays and says dont do anything stupid over the weekend and some of those people that are sometimes disciplined do something stupid over the weekend and dont think about it. But i think that there are some people that choose to be disciplined everyday.

Independent reading #17 winners mannual pg.# 65-73 3-8-09 Sunday

The next part that i read in this book talks about what discipline is and then it gives a list about discipline. I think discipline is very good for anyone but also people need to teach it to there kids at a young age soo they grow up and have discipline in there lives so they dont grow up to have people not like them or something worse.------what type of discipline are you talking about?  There seems to be no obvious connection to the novel and the coach...you can do much btter than this!

Independent reading #15 winners mannual pg.# 57-60 2-29-09 Sunday

Another thing this book talks about is happieness and respect. I think that is a great thing in life to have because when your happy good things happen and your respected by alot of people. But it also a good thing to be happy in your life .

Independent reading #14 winners mannual pg.# 53-57 2-28-09 Saturday

The author of the book does a really good job showing what it takes and the thing to do to get to that level of playing football. Also i like how he tells you that you need to do this, that you need to do that, it really makes you think about what you need to do.

Independent reading #13 winners mannual pg.# 48-53 2-27-09 Friday

It starts talking about how you should thank your mom. I think thats the most important thing you should do is give thanks to our mom's or dad's because there the ones who brought us in to this world. Also your parents are there for every step in your life, through the ups and downs. They go to every sporting event, every activity you have, they are there for you, to watch you.

Independent reading #12 winners mannual pg.# 44-48 2-22-09 Sunday

The next few pages i read talked about living a grateful life. That if you same it that far for footbal to a d1 college and posably go to the NFL that you should be grateful for your life. I think im grateful for my life because i can walk and lift and do what i can because there are people and kids out there that cant do any of that kinds of things because they might be dissable or have a mentle or fisickle thing wrong with them. So im grateful for my life everyday.

Independent reading #11 winners mannual pg.# 41-44 2-21-09 Saturday

This part in the book talks about how your attitude is your own choice. I think thats the truth because i think if you have a good attitude you will do good in life, but if you dont have a very good attitude then you wont do very well. Another thing it talks about is promising yourself. I think promising yourself something is really good because then it will make you want to do it more. Like promising yourself that you will make a tackle, or you will get the weight you want to get or something like that.

Independent reading #10 winners mannual pg.#35-41 2-20-09 Friday

The thing i would say to the character would be what more i would have to do to get to a good college that has a great football team. Like what i would have to do in the weight room or what i would have to do in the classroom or even the football field. I think if i could ask anyone that kind of advice it would be him because he knows what it takes to get to the top.

Independent reading #9 winners mannual pg.#34-35 2-15-09 Sunday

The thing that makes this character so engrossing and interesting is that one he's the head coach for one of the best college football teams in the U.S., the buckeyes and that hegets payed some much money for what he does. Also that he came up with these things for his team to make them better people pn the field and in the real world, so that it could help them in real life.

Independent reading #8 winners mannual pg.#33-34 2-14-09 Saturday

The feeling i had for the opening chapter is that i thought it was going to be a good be how they put it in dietal. Because the things they are going to give you in this book you can use in life and on the field you play on, like if its football or baseball or any sport you do, you can use this info on.

Independent reading #7 winners mannual pg.#30-33 2-13-09 Friday

This book makes me wonder how he got all this info and got it to sound good in this book of greatness. Also how the guys on the team could do all these things he talks about, i dont know if i could remember to do all of those things. But the things he talks about are great.

Independent reading #6 winners mannual pg.#27-30 2-8-09 Sunday

Thing i like about this book so far, is that it tell you how you should be a good sport in everything you do. Also how setting goals for yourself is good to do, like setting goals to go to church more (like what i want to do) or to start a fundraiser for a school or needy childern. But i think one of the biggest things in the book to learn is how to be a leader on and off the field. To lead your teammates into battle or lead people to help people in your or another community.

Independent reading #5 winners mannual pg.#25-27 2-7-09 Saturday

The book is talking about ways to get over advercity during games and in life. Thats so you can keep going on and so you dont worry about the past and plan for the future. It also talks about how your teammates and you should be and act like a family on and off the field. It also talks about your own family, how you should care for them and you should always call and check up on them.

Independent reading #4 winners mannual pg.#20-25 2-5-09 Thursday

Some of the most events explored is that he says its good to make goals for football or even sports in general. Also that you should make goals in your life, like im going to be a better student or im going to organize a fundraiser for a new football field for the school or for kids or families that dont have much. Jim Tressel was saying that he loves seeing the goals that his players put done, like some was "i want to go to church more" and  "i want to start reading the bible". He also was talking about that its good for players to say they want like a bently when they get older, he said that was good but he doesnt want those material possessions going to there heads when they get older. So thats what the most explored events are.

Independent reading #3 winners mannual pg.#20-25 2-1-09 Sunday

I think the title of this book "winners mannual" really does fit this book because the things in this book so fare is the things you need to do to be a winner. Like with the goals, you got to have goals during the inseason and offseason. Also you cant win anything thing like a football game or any game without being a family because if your not a family and you fight and nag at eachother then you will never succeed in the game or in life.

Independent reading #2 winners mannual pg.#15-20 1-31-09 Saturday

This book is basically talking about how u should play as a team and how you should be a leader on and off the field. Also it talks about how when your off and on the field, you should be respectful. It also so talks about "for the group" that you should go out on the field and do everything you can do for the team and you shouldnt feel like you let them done. Also says that you should have goals for what you want to do as a football player. Its talks about being a family on and off the field.

Independent reading #1 winners mannual pg.#1-15 1-30-09 Friday

I think the book im reading the "winners mannual" reminds me alot like coach spaite because of  the things he says about heart and pride and how you should work as a team. Like in the locker room before games and at practice he gives speaches just like jim trussel and some of the things coach spaite says is just like some of the things jim trussel says. the way he explains how to play  with passion ans play with honnor reminds me alot of our team which helps me connect with the book.

No assignment 3. Most assignments are barely minimum. I think you have a way better understanding of the play than your work depicts. Show what you know by including quality comments that build and express complete thoughts instead of snippets of quick-thoughts.

Getting everything isn't very specific. It should be like a game plan. Try to push yourself a little more on your IRs. It looks like you didn't get one done on Friday. Hopefully you get one done this week!

This part of the book talks about how you should create your own enthusiasm which i think is a good thig for an athlete to do. It also has this saying or qoute in the part i read that called i'm only one. This qoute/saying was said before every game that we played this year. Ithink it's one great quote or saying becasue i think its the truth about anything and everything in sports and life.

Rex, you must type in a word document first and then put it on your page. The spelling is a little rough and this is a public space. You will want to do much better. I expect this from now on. Keep with your IRs and your workspace.
